About Us

Hope for Kenya Slum Adolescents Initiative (HKSAI) is a grassroots non-profit and humanitarian organization dedicated to empowering adolescents and young people living in Kenya's informal settlements. Founded in 2018 by Melvine Praxides Ouyo, HKSAI was established with a vision to create opportunities for vulnerable girls and youth facing poverty, inequality, limited access to quality education, and healthcare challenges.

Officially registered on 30 April 2020, HKSAI works to advance equitable access to education, health services, life skills, vocational training, mentorship, and economic empowerment opportunities. Through community-driven initiatives and strategic partnerships, the organization empowers young people to become resilient, self-reliant, and productive members of society.

Our 2030 Vision

By 2030, HKSAI will strengthen its internal capacity, governance, and financial stability to advance inclusive education and health access for youth in Kenya's informal settlements.
